From 29 May 2022, all birth certificates will be issued digitally in the PDF format. After you’ve registered your child’s birth, you’ll be notified via SMS or email when the digital birth certificate is ready for download.

Do note that if you did not provide a local mobile number, you will not be notified via SMS.

Follow the instructions to download the certificate from the ICA website within 90 days. Do remember to save it to your personal device.

To get a printed copy of the birth certificate, you can print the downloaded PDF.

If it has been more than 3 working days since you’ve submitted your application, please email ICA at ICA_Birth_RBD@ica.gov.sg for help.

If it has been less than 90 days since the birth was registered, you can download the birth certificate again from the ICA website. Do remember to save it to your personal device.
