Supporting Documents to prepare
If both parents are Singapore citizens, permanent residents, or FIN holders
You will not need to upload any supporting documents.
If one parent is not a citizen, permanent resident, or FIN holder
The parent who is a Singapore citizen, permanent resident, or FIN holder should log in with Singpass to start the birth registration as the main applicant.
The main applicant may be asked to upload the following supporting documents:
passport biodatapage of the other parent
local or overseas marriage certificate (if applicable)
If these documents are not in the English language, official translations will be required.
If both parents are not citizens, permanent residents, or FIN holders
Either parent can start the birth registration as the main applicant with a valid email address.
This can only be done on the website, and not the LifeSG app.
The main applicant may be asked to upload the following supporting documents:
passport biodata page of both parents
If these documents are not in the English language, official translations will be required.
Use Singpass to register your child’s birth
Either you or the child’s other parent must log in with Singpass to register the birth. If neither parent has a Singpass account, please register for one. Do note that it may take up to 5 working days for your Singpass password to be mailed to you.
Baby Bonus Scheme: the applicant will be the CDA trustee and CSA joint account holder
If your child is eligible for the Baby Bonus scheme, the parent submitting this application will be the Baby Bonus Child Development Account (CDA) trustee and Child Savings Account (CSA) joint account holder. You can only make changes after the accounts have been opened, through your banking app or portal.
